Thighs

Chicken thighs are the upper portion of the leg, bordered by the hip joint and the knee joint. Thighs are available in boneless and skinless options, or with the skin on and the bone in. This is a dark meat cut of the chicken, with a higher fat content than white meat. This makes the thigh more tender, juicier and more flavourful than breast meat. Bone in thighs are well suited to roasting and barbequing, while boneless thigh fillets are ideal sliced for stir frys and casseroles.
